NOTES for the recipe:
+ If you don’t have magnesium /citrate or glycinate, you can add an extra 1/8 teaspoon of cream of tartar.
+ Not sure where to get Cream of Tartar? It’s in the baking aisle, normally near where you find the baking soda.
+ For longer walks, don’t skip the soaked chia seeds. Chia seeds can be soaked then added or add dry seeds and extra water to your bottle.
Why You Need This Recipe
Last year, yes back in January 2024, I went for a bushwalk locally in Brisbane and the heat hit me hard. My body reacted badly, and it stopped me from finishing my walk. Boo Hoo.
You see, my body has issues in the heat, and it has progressively gotten worse. When you have both (heat and humidity), it’s even worse.
As a result, I put bushwalking on hold during the hotter periods of summer… which is not acceptable to me.
What to do? I could stop walking. I could create a solution to help me with my body’s response to heat and humidity. Last year, I stopped and this year I am planning to try to continue walking. So, I have opted for a solution to help… this is my starting point… a drink. Yes, that’s right a drink.
